Command Two
Kampala Orphans Building Project
by: Mary Kelly
Command Two is a non-profit ministry that takes seriously the second greatest command, “You Shall Love your neighbor as yourself” Mark 12: 31 It is our desire to develop a community of people who will demonstrate Christ-likeness where ever they live and work.
This is your opportunity to help relieve the pain and suffering of those who have called upon us to help. On a recent trip to Uganda, I visited the Kampala Orphanage and discovered a place with many basic needs. The orphanage did not have a washer and dryer for laundry; did not have a kitchen with refrigeration, running water or a stove; did not have indoor toilets or showers for bathing; did not have glass windows, doors, concrete floors, or electric lights. The basic necessities we in America have come to rely upon are luxuries for the people in Kampala.
There is an orphanage that needs to be built. Command Two Ministries is partnering with the Kampala Orphanage in Kampala, Uganda, to collect donations and contributions to achieve this goal. There are many wonderful organizations that give time and money to help needs around the world but this particular need in Kampala is not currently being met. Self-sacrificing committed people work daily to provide over 500 children at the orphanage with a basic education. These committed teachers, staff, and cooks all exemplify Christ’s likeness in a very dark environment.
Donations for the Kampala Orphanage Building Project
can be made to Command Two Ministries as a tax-deductible donation.
Periodically there will be photographs that will show the progress.
